Slab labels

Every part of our label, explained

Card details, four subgrades, the final grade and a QR code to the card’s report. Pick a white or black label when you submit, and a perfect card earns the navy White Whale label.

Horizontal label

For cards slabbed sideways. The front faces you with the card; the back shows through the rear of the slab.

Back

  1. 1White Whale mark. Every slab carries our logo, front and back.
  2. 2The card. Year, set, player or character and card number, plus the parallel. Pokémon and other TCG cards also show rarity and language (EN, JPN, CHN).
  3. 3Four subgrades. Centering, corners, edges and surface, each scored on its own. Included on every card.
  4. 4Final grade. The overall grade, in half points from 1 to 10.
  5. 5Grade name. GEM MINT, MINT and so on. A perfect card reads WHITE WHALE.
  6. 6QR code. Scan it to verify the certificate and open the card’s digital report, with recent sold prices.
  7. 7Whale. Our whale on the back, so the slab is ours from either side.

Vertical label

The same information stacked for upright slabs: subgrades in a column, the grade at the bottom.

Perfect 10

The White Whale label

A card that scores a 10 in all four subgrades gets our navy label on silver metallic stock. Where other labels say GEM MINT, this one says WHITE WHALE: the card everyone is hunting.

Scan the QR: the card’s report

Every label’s QR code opens that card’s certificate. Anyone can check the grade, see the scan, and see what the card sells for: an estimated value from recent eBay sales at the same grade, the latest sales, and sold prices by grade. No login needed.

This is the report behind the Perfect 10 above: a 2023-24 Panini Prizm Monopoly Victor Wembanyama, estimated at $108 from 151 PSA 10 sales.
